Medienspiegel: Hisbollah-Verbot Thema im Bundestag

Am Donnerstag berät der Bundestag einen Antrag der AfD-Fraktion, dieser fordert ein Betätigungsverbot für die islamistische Terrororganisation Hisbollah in Deutschland.

Insbesondere in der israelischen Medienlandschaft stieß der Antrag auf großes Interesse und eine entsprechend ausführliche Berichterstattung.

Die Tageszeitung The Jerusalem Post schreibt:

"Germany does not classify Hezbollah as a a terrorist organization, it may continue to collect donations and propaganda. That must have an end," said one German politician.

The German Bundestag will debate on Thursday a bill to outlaw the radical Islamic organization Hezbollah in the federal republic.

The far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) party introduced the bill.
The AfD wrote in a statement that "The EU has classified Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. Hezbollah is also outlawed in the United States, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Japan and Israel. In Germany, however, Hezbollah maintains its main foreign bank account with the city-owned Municipal Bank of Bremen."

According to a draft resolution sponsored by the AfD Party, the Bundestag will debate a non-binding resolution to “examine whether the conditions exist for a ban on Hezbollah as one organization, and, if necessary, to issue such a prohibition and implement it immediately.”
